We visit friends in Fellsmere now and then and last night we stopped at Las Tapatias on our way in, what a pleasant surprise, I have not had such authentic Mexican food in a long time, my first test is always the chips and salsa ( A) then it's always about the beans and rice, they were also excellent the beans & cheese dip and chips were beyond amazing and the cheese enchiladas were the best I've had in a very long time my husband had a chicken burrito which was also very tasty. Service was fast efficient, and friendly the prices were very fair. I can't wait to visit again !

Such a cute and cozy place. It was nice and slow (probably being that we beat the dinner rush by an hour or so), so we got the full treatment. I loved the girls that were running the place ( I assume it's a family run business). They were so sweat and delightful. The food was all made ready to order and we couldn't have been happier. If you are looking for some authentic Mexican food, then give them a shot - you will not be disappointed.

I've eaten here for years. Just tried the cucumber limeade, very refreshing. Lengua is still my favorite, pork and chicken tacos for the family. Green salsas is delicious full of flavors and not spicy like the red. Burritos are huge, homecut tortilla chips and desserts are wonderful. Shrimp cucumber salad was delicious and very large portions.

In town for the first time, was driving past this place and decided to pull in for lunch. Fantastic tacos. I had the chicken, the steak, and the barbacoa. Highly reccomend asking for the tacos to be double wrapped, corn or flour. I believe the barbacoa one came like that. The flour tortilla is nice and fluffy, and you can tell it was thrown on the flat top. The corn tortilla was great as well. Tacos were a good size, maybe 1/3 bigger than a street taco. Luz was really nice and the service was great! She even brought the order out to our car as we waited!

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. If you are looking for atmosphere, this is to your place. If you are looking for authentic, delicious Mexican food, with no pretense, then get there - as quickly as you can. Not fancy, but that is not why we go to restaurants. We go for great food and we go here a couple of times a month. Everything we have ordered has been delicious. I love the chorizo burrito. You are given fresh made on premises of chips and salsa to start that are just fantastic. And the prices are great considering we live in FL where everything seems more expensive because of tourists. I would have given Las Tapitias 5 stars all around but it is hard to judge for “atmosphere” when for me, and them, what is important is the food. So fancy is your thing, this may not be the place for you. But if good food is what you want, you cannot go wrong.

Came here on Sunday afternoon, and it was great choice. A little bit away from me but definitely worth the drive! My group and I were seated right away and were served chips and salsa. The chips were so delicious, and I liked that they were homemade instead of coming from factory. I had gotten 3 tacos, the chicken, steak and the chorizo. All 3 were great but next time, I’ll be back to try nee things. I saw that their burritos were quite large so that’s something I may get next time. The place was real clean and it wasn’t crowded when I came. All the staff were super friendly.

Wow what a treat. This place is a fantastic and very causal Mexican eatery. First, the chips and salsa were addicting. You can taste the freshness in every bite. I ordered pork, chicken and steak tacos on white tortillas. Each flavored very well and balanced. Ordered a side if rice and beans, very good as well. They must not have their liquor license as they do not offer tequila margarita. They do offer a wine margarita but did not try that. I did have ice cold beer with my meal. This is probably the best Mexican food I've had in a very long time or even ever. I will be back.

I loved it!! The Horchata was so delicious. I had el pastor tacos and my hubby had the steak fries. The place was super clean, bright and cheerful and the staff was very friendly and helpful with understanding the menu. We've will definitely go again!
